Handcrafted jewelry, with thought and care
Every design begins in the mind before being transferred to paper, then handcrafted with care to find its owner. Each piece is designed to bring a touch of nature or fun to your everyday and special moments.

The meaning of Kastura
I started Kastura while I was preparing for my wedding. As I searched for bridal jewelry, I realized there was a large gap in the market for bridal hair pieces. Hairpins were most often either low in price but also very low in quality, or of good quality but priced beyond reach for many brides. As I looked, I decided to draw upon my background as a metalsmith and create my own jewelry.
What started as a personal solution quickly became a larger vision. I resolved to offer thoughtfully crafted pieces to others searching for the same balance of quality, beauty, and accessibility. While Kastura was born with weddings in mind, it continues to grow to include different pieces inspired by the things I love to make.
Accessibility is really important to me in my vision for Kastura. I will strive to offer the fairest prices I can, and to look for more affordable materials to offer as alternatives to pricier ones, with as similar of look as possible.
The name Kastura was made from the merging of my maiden and married names. Both names share meanings connected to water; one referring to a marsh and the other to a water voyager. My husband came up with a bunch of names, and I chose Kastura out of them. Then I searched it to check that the name wasn't already taken, and I discovered that Kastura is also a type of a fanged deer. These two elements, water and the Kastura deer, became the inspiration for the original logo.
